Things to Do in Anseong: 3 Best Places for a Day Trip from Seoul
October 15, 2026 | by Korea Bestie
Things to do in Anseong (안성) are easy to fit into one day: the city is about an hour south of Seoul, and its three best stops make a great countryside day trip. You get animals and flower fields, a centuries-old acrobatic folk troupe, and a farm full of traditional sauce jars. We visited Anseong Farmland ourselves in October 2026. The other two are researched picks that pair well with it.
Last checked: October 2026. Performance dates and prices change each season. Check before you go. Dollar figures use about 1,380 KRW = 1 USD (October 2026).

1. Anseong Farmland (안성팜랜드): animals and flower fields
A huge co-op ranch with animal feeding, a pig race show and seasonal flower fields: pink muhly and cosmos in autumn, plus a snow sledding hill in winter. Plan 3–4 hours. Adult tickets list at 15,000 KRW (~$11), discounted to 12,500 KRW (~$9.1) on weekdays and 14,500 KRW (~$11) on weekends when we visited in October 2026. Read our full Anseong Farmland guide for what we did and how to get there.

2. Anseong Machum Land (안성맞춤랜드) and the Namsadang show
Anseong is the home of Namsadang Nori (남사당놀이), a travelling folk troupe tradition with tightrope walking, mask dance, plate spinning and farmers’ music. It’s on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The Anseong Namsadang Baudeogi troupe performs at the Namsadang theatre inside Anseong Machum Land.
- When: Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM, about 90 minutes, April to late November (2026 season: until November 29)
- Tickets: about 12,000 KRW (~$8.7) adults, 6,000 KRW (~$4.3) youth, 3,000 KRW (~$2.2) children
- Also in the park: a crafts centre, an astronomy science centre and a seasonal sledding hill
- Every autumn, the Anseong Baudeogi Festival brings the full troupe and night tightrope shows.

3. Seoil Farm (서일농원): traditional sauce jars
Seoil Farm is known for jangdokdae (장독대): rows upon rows of earthenware jars full of fermenting soybean paste, chili paste and soy sauce. Walking between them is one of the most “old Korea” sights near Seoul. The farm also runs a restaurant serving set meals built around its own sauces. Hours and reservation rules change, so check the farm’s latest notice before you go.

A one-day Anseong route
- Morning: express bus from Seoul to Anseong (about 1 hour 10 minutes). See Seoul to Anseong by bus.
- Midday: lunch and the sauce-jar fields at Seoil Farm.
- 2:00 PM on weekends: the Namsadang show at Anseong Machum Land.
- Late afternoon: Anseong Farmland for animals and sunset over the flower fields. Ticket sales end at 5:00 PM.
The three places are spread out, so a car or taxis between stops make this much easier than local buses.
