Stop by stop
1. Onion Seongsu, 11:00: start with bread in an old factory
Begin where Seongsu’s café scene began: Onion’s bakery café in a raw-concrete former factory, about 2 minutes from Seongsu Station Exit 2 (Line 2). Get the snowy, star-shaped pandoro to share. It opens at 8 am on weekdays and 10 am at weekends, so the room is calm before noon. More in our Seongsu cafés guide.
2. Yeonmujang-gil and Olive Young N, 11:40: pop-ups and K-beauty
Walk west into Yeonmujang-gil (연무장길), the street where brands open short-lived pop-up stores in old warehouses. Duck into two or three that catch your eye (this month’s list is in our Seongsu pop-up stores guide), then visit Olive Young N Seongsu, Olive Young’s five-floor experience store with testers everywhere and tax refunds at the counter (Olive Young guide).

3. Neungdong Minari, 12:40: a light, very Korean lunch
Two minutes away, Neungdong Minari serves minari gomtang: clear beef bone soup piled with fresh Korean water parsley, with rice on the side (15,000 KRW, July 2026). It isn’t spicy, so it’s a safe first Korean meal. Weekend lunch queues are long, so arriving before 12:45 helps. Other options are in our Seongsu restaurants guide.
4. Center Coffee, 13:50: specialty coffee by the park
Walk about 20 minutes west through the quieter residential lanes toward Seoul Forest; it’s the longest stretch of the day, and a nice one. Center Coffee is one of Seoul’s best-known specialty roasters, with window seats facing the park. Hand-drip coffee runs about 7,000–10,000 KRW depending on the beans.
5. Seoul Forest, 14:30: deer, lawns and ginkgo paths

Cross into Seoul Forest, a huge park on a former water-treatment site. Head for the deer enclosure in the Eco Forest, then wander the lawns. In late October and November the ginkgo paths turn gold (fall foliage guide). Entry is free. More in things to do in Seongsu.
6. Seoul Forest Station, 15:30: where to next
Leave from Seoul Forest Station (Suin-Bundang Line), or stay for sunset by the river. With more energy, continue to Ttukseom Hangang Park for the evening.
Variations
- Rainy day: swap Seoul Forest for D Museum next to Seoul Forest Station, and spend longer in the pop-ups and Olive Young N.
- Evening version: start at 15:00, do Seoul Forest first for the late light, then the pop-ups (most close around 20:00–21:00), and finish with dinner on Yeonmujang-gil.
- With kids: put Seoul Forest’s deer and playgrounds first, and keep the café stops short.
Tips
- Go on a weekday if you can. Weekend afternoons bring long queues at the famous cafés and pop-ups.
- Bags: shopping first? Leave luggage in a station locker (Seoul luggage storage).
- Accessibility: the route is flat. Seongsu’s side lanes have narrow pavements, and Seoul Forest’s paths are wide and stroller-friendly.
- Getting there: Seongsu Station on Line 2. Tap in with T-money.
